Sofia D’Marco

Chubbuck Studio has been her safe place since she was 17, and she makes the studio a second home to all Chubbuck students.

While studying under Chris Holder, she saw the power of the Chubbuck Technique to change lives through art. She began studying directly under Ivana Chubbuck in 2011. In 2015, Sofia began working as a Teaching Assistant at Chubbuck Youth. In 2017, Sofia started to teach a class under the supervision of Claire Chubbuck - while simultaneously taking the appropriate courses for licensure. In 2019, Sofia received her teaching accreditation to teach The Chubbuck Technique to youth students. Sofia continues to study - both as a teacher and as a student - rapidly making her an expert in the subject. She ensures her craft is sharp so that she can demonstrate the technique to actors - making her teaching valuable to those who learn by seeing.
